H 562 was a placeholder bill up for consideration in the state, set to legalize online gambling. The bill was reviewed during an executive session last week and failed to move forward.

In a unanimous vote of 23-0, the bill was found “inexpedient to legislate” by the members of the executive session.

For now, the state will be focusing on the launch of their online lottery ticket sales. Online lottery sales were authorized back in July with the state gearing up to kick off sale of tickets in 2018. New Hampshire now joins such states as Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois and Georgia, all of which offer online lottery sales.

Online gambling is likely tied to the performance of online lottery.
