West Virginia State Delegate Shaun Fluharty has expressed his support to legalize sports betting, online poker and Daily Fantasy Sports in the state. Fluharty used social media to make the comments following the passing of a comprehensive gambling expansion package in the Legislature of Pennsylvania, allowing all 12 casinos in that state to be operators.

&

ldquo; With [Pennsylvania] passing sports betting, online poker and daily fantasy legislation today, [West Virginia] must act this session or be left in the dust,” legislator Shawn Fluharty said on social media.

Back in March, Fluharty introduced the H.3067 bill along with cosponsors delegates Mike Pushkin, Joseph Canestraro, Mick Bates and Sean Hornbuckle, putting forward a project to authorize interactive gaming, also seeking to set licensing requirements as limited to existing gaming facilities, authorize the Lottery Commission to regulate the games, and assess gaming and licensing fees for interactive gaming operators.
