The US-based supplier to the gaming industry has filed for the protection of new brands in the MSAR, having recently secured a deal with a Google subsidiary to enhance API performance.

Bally Gaming Inc., a Scientific Games-owned company, has reportedly filed for five trademark registrations, a dispatch in the Official Gazette announced.

Bally is seeking commercial protection for services that include computer software and firmware for gaming on any computerized platform, including dedicated gaming consoles, video slot machines, reel slot machines and video lottery terminals, under five brand names including Girl’s Best Friend, Bright lights, Silk Moon, and Top up.

Bally's parent company, Scientific Games, has two office representations in the Chinese enclave of Macau.

Scientific Games completed the USD 5.1B merger deal with Bally Technologies, Inc. in November 2014.

Earlier this week, the gaming giant announced a deal with Google subsidiary Apigee to utilize its full lifecycle application programming interface management platform.

“The Apigee API platform will help us to open up the door for more flexibility in working with third-party providers, enabling smoother integration and better security between our systems' products and third-party products,” said Scientific Games' Senior Vice President of Gaming.
