David Baazov has been sued by a Dubai investor for allegedly using the investors name fraudulently for a takeover bid for Amaya.

The news were revealed last week, claiming that Kalani Lal, KBC Aldini Capital President filed a lawsuit against Baazov in January this year.

Kalani Lal says Baazov illegally used his name and signature to give his bid a big boost for the 2016 Amaya takeover bid. Last year, the US Securities Exchange Commission was questioning Baazov’s financial credibility to back up his four investment firm bids. One of the four investments being questioned was Dubai based KBC Aldini Capital firm.

The lawsuit was revealed after the Quebec securities regulator Autorité des Marchés Financiers unveiled the full official report. The Autorité des Marchés Financiers report says that,

“KBC’s clientele is predominantly Muslim, meaning that KBC will never invest in a gaming business, otherwise it will lose all its customers.” Lal reportedly received many calls from KBC clients who’d heard about the alleged Amaya connection, and this had caused Lal “a lot of worries.”
