ow do you gear up for the 2017 Global Gaming Expo?
Gearing up for an event the size and scale of G2E requires a coordinated effort among nearly every department within IGT’s North America Gaming & Interactive organization. Our G2E portfolio is also a byproduct of the continuous feedback loop that we have established with our customers and slot players. We engage with our customers and slot players throughout the various stages of development – from ideation to delivery. We view G2E as a platform to showcase IGT’s progress on the promises that we have made to our customers.
What new innovations and developments can we expect to see at the show?
IGT’s booth will cover more than 25,000 square feet, and it will feature meaningful innovation throughout. Following a year of multiple cabinet introductions, we have paired our content with a variety of cutting-edge technologies that differentiate our product portfolio and bring something different to our customers.
For example, I am particularly excited to introduce IGT’s new Sex and the City Video Slots with PowerSighttechnology. Through PowerSight, players can simply stare at objects within a game to unlock or select on-screen objects. In the Sex and the City game, there is a pick bonus where players stare at achampagne bottle to pop it open on screen.I am also inspired by the progress that we have made with our TRUE 4D portfolio and the quality entertainment that it delivers.TRUE 4D brings mid-air haptic technology to casino gaming before it has ever reached the consumer electronics space. We are expanding the TRUE 4D product line with licensed themes such as Ghostbusters 4D and we’ll be taking orders for SPHINX 4D at the show.
Another area that I am excited about is our stepper portfolio. When touring our booth at G2E, guests will notice that we’ve taken IGT’s expertise in the stepper category and applied it across multiple segments – core, premium, Class II and large format. IGT booth guests will also notice our expanded video poker offering andthe Company’snew segmentation model for our core portfolio.
Game toppers noting one of sixgame segments will sit atop each game, andare intended to facilitateour casino customers’ game banking strategies.
IGT’s mobile innovations are another area where we’re gaining momentum, also representing an area of innovation for the Company. Our award-winning mobile solutions Cardless Connect and PlaySpot are deployed with major operators, enhancing the player experience by providing cashless access to entertainment and loyalty programs and setting the stage for future enhancements across the IGT mobile portfolio.
What are your key areas of focus to ensure business growth in the Americas?
IGT is focused on leveraging innovation and disciplined R&D investment to continue our leadership in gaming, and to position the industry for future growth.We have instilled a sense of discipline with regards to how we approach content and how we manage our “Proven Performer” programthat is aligned with our test bank deployment. This sense of accountability continues to yield positive results for IGT and our customers, and has inspired an elevated sense of customer confidence.
Why should attendees visit your G2E booth this year?
IGT’s G2E theme “Let’s Play” is a signalto our customersthat we are actively bringing our new hardware with compelling new content to the market.G2E will be the world premiere for several of IGT’s licensed games such as Blake Shelton Video Slots and James Cameron’s Avatar 3D Slots. We’ll showcase offeringsfor every player type, with solutions such as the colossal MEGATOWER cabinet, to three-reel one line games such as Sizzling 7s, and from new adaptations of IGT classics such as Cleopatra, to all-new concepts such as the Arcade Saga virtual reality product. We’ll have constant activity, tournaments, giveaways and lots of exciting innovations to share.
How do your casino solutions stand out from the rest?
At IGT, we are leveraging meaningful technology and multiple platforms including mobile to enhance the land-based casino experience. We are listening to our customers, and conducting extensive research with players to ensure that the products that we deliver to market address specific needs and generate player interest. The result of this approach is a depth and breadth of portfolio that includes a number of industry firsts, including TRUE 4D technology, the Cardless Connect solution, and PowerSight technology.
