Both companies made the announcement last Tuesday, just a couple of weeks before the beginning of this year's football season and a month until Major League Baseball's playoffs.

ldquo;We have thousands of fantasy players in Delaware who love our product and now know that their right to play daily fantasy sports is protected thanks to important legislation sponsored by state Representative Charles Potter,” Eccles said in a statement reported by Delaware online newspaper.

Among the innovations, Eccles said players will find "big changes" this year, including season-long leagues, improved lineup editing tools and more.

According to attorney Scott Ward, who represents the companies, Delaware state accounts for 150,000 customers of FanDuel and DraftKings.
