hat was your experience like at the Peru Gaming Show 2017?
We had a very positive PGS 2017. Our stand was busy throughout and we were pleased to have the opportunity to meet key players in the Peruvian gaming and casino world. The show marked the culmination of our targeted approach to the LatAm region and I am pleased with how the last few months have gone.
There has been a lot of excitement and speculation within the region over recent months and I believe we can be optimistic about the prospects for the LatAm casino industry in the future. We held many constructive talks with potential new partners, as well as catching up with existing operators and we look forward to announcing some new deals soon.
Win Systems exhibited Gold Club solutions for the first time in Peru. What was the reaction to Gold Club’s product range?
The feedback we received from visitors to the stand highlighted how Gold Club’s games would allow operators to greatly simplify its supplier partnerships by combining games and systems into one partnership.
This year we demonstrated our ten-position Futura and four-position Quadra electronic roulette, as well as a range of Gold Club gaming machines featuring our own proprietary games. We were very pleased with delegates comments on the range, with many noting the premium build quality and engaging look of the machines.
Online sports betting regulation was a hot topic at the South American trade show. Can Peru become a successful online sports betting market?
There have been various success stories in the region in recent months with regards to regulation across both sports betting and gaming, and I hope this continues. In terms of Peru’s online sports betting, the country’s regulators seem to be taking the right steps in developing a sustainable market for all parties. Provided they continue to work closely with operators, suppliers and legal experts, I believe they have all the hallmarks for a successful market.
Why is the LatAm region so important for your company?
LatAm has always been a major focus for Win Systems because of its huge demand for land-based casino gaming. We already maintain a strong footprint in the area, working with various casino partners. However, with the rate of growth in the sector and changing regulation for the better, we believe we can further expand our business.
Our acquisition of Gold Club has added another layer to our offering and we will now be looking to develop new and existing deals to incorporate these products.
To help this push, we have expanded our Mexican presence having moved into bigger offices, as well as making various senior hires in the region, and we hope this local expertise will be beneficial to our future success.
What’s next on the Win Systems agenda?
Win Systems has a very busy second half of 2017 in store. We are looking to fully integrate Gold Club into the Win Systems family and this should be completed in the next few months. We have also embarked on a significant employment drive, with unprecedented demand for our products requiring various senior hires to support the sales process.
We hope to utilize our greater size in the coming years to cross-sell our systems and gaming arms to existing clients. Our comprehensive casino solutions will also be rolled out to various new territories around the world.
We look forward to updating you on a number of commercial deals and product releases very soon as we enter the second half of Win Systems’ biggest year to date.
