According to John Alexander- chairman of the company- Neilson has played a key role in managing the legal, compliance and regulatory functions across the group.

Neilson will remain with the Crown Group for a “transitional period.”

On the same filing, Crown also announced the resignation of Ben Brazil as chair of the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee on April 12, 2017 - who was replaced by Helen Coonan.

Coonan has served as the Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer and had portfolio oversight of the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.
