As ICE Totally Gaming 2017 is approaching, Yogonet chatted with Playtech's spokesman about what the company's performance will be like at the London conference.

hy is ICE Totally Gaming an ideal opportunity to unveil your next generation solutions? What can you tell us about the products you're planning to unleash at the trade show?

Playtech has always attended ICE since the event began. It is a firm fixture in the calendar and one of the industry’s most important events for several reasons; the global industry congregates for an entire week and it gives everyone a chance to connect at the beginning of the year and get the year off to a great start; many companies launch new products so it enables us all to see what other businesses are planning and what trends the industry sees emerging for the next 12 months onwards; and ultimately it’s a fantastic networking event when we can all discuss and debate the key issues facing the industry as well as what we can learn and adopt from other industries.

How do you feel the European gambling markets will evolve in terms of player trends and technology impacts?

All products areas are seeing growth, however it is our omni-channel software that pieces all of them together and that has seen this growth increase significantly in the past 12 months

We will definitely see this grow across Europe given time. Players increasingly consume their games across multiple channels and devices and at whatever time they choose. Their expectations of ease of use and of seamless gameplay no matter where, when or on what they are playing is higher than ever. Add to this the fact that they require more on-demand personalization, recommendations and instant access to their favorite products and games and we can see that Omni-channel delivery will only become more prevalent and important in the years to come. We have pioneered this approach and continue to invest and deploy innovative solutions for our licensees.

Which jurisdictions do you feel currently offer the most potential for gaming growth?

Several new markets are on the cusp of regulating, while others such as Romania – where we are rapidly building a strong presence – have just regulated and offer significant opportunities

We pride ourselves on being leaders in regulated markets and work closely with regulators in soon-to-be-regulated and regulating markets in order to offer our guidance and experience on these issues.

What discussions should drive the 2017 agenda? Where will the focus be?

The year ahead presents some fantastic opportunities for Playtech with 2017 set to be a landmark 12 months of cutting-edge content. As with every year, we are well prepared with an even stronger pipeline of incredible, best-performing games due to be launched throughout 2017.

We have secured a number of exceptional licensing agreements with some very high profile partners. These will be unveiled in the coming weeks and months and create a real buzz when they are announced. Our key differentiator is our commitment to providing the ultimate gaming experience powered by our pioneering Playtech ONE solution and unparalleled portfolio of true Omni-channel titles. This year will be no different as we continue to extend our industry-leading offering with a suite of high quality and highly engaging games yet to come.

What is going to be your strategy this year to out-perform competitors and grow your market share?

The business continues to go from strength-to-strength with strong progress in our primary gaming division with new licensees and renewals securing future growth and our financials division positioned for sustainable growth. This, coupled with the continued implementation of our M&A strategy with the acquisitions of BGT, Quickspin and ECM means we remain confident of strong growth for this year and beyond.
