Gross revenue from Macau casinos amounted to 107.787 billion patacas (US$13.473 billion), and revenues from VIP baccarat totalled 56.980 billion patacas (US$7.1225 billion), accounting for 52 8% of the total.
So-called mass market baccarat, which along with VIP accounted for 87.8% of total gross revenues, provided revenues in the first half of the year of 37.657 billion patacas (US$4.707 billion) or 34.9% of the total.
Slot machines came in third place with an income of 5.484 billion patacas and “cussec” (a game that uses three dice) appears in fourth place with 3.148 billion patacas.
The gaming sector in Macau, which in addition to casinos includes greyhound and horse racing, Chinese and instant lotteries and sports betting, provided a gross revenue in the first six months of 2016, of 108.253 billion patacas (US$13.531 billion).
