In an interview with Yogonet, Raymond Chan, CEO & Co-founder of TGG Interactive, talks about the company's push into Latin America.

S

o far this year, TGG has exhibited at FADJA in Colombia and PGS in Peru. Why has the company chosen this moment to make a big push in Latin America?

Latin America is an emerging market with great potential in both traditional land-based casino and Internet Gaming, which is now in great demand of innovative products. TGG spent 2 years in developing its 3+1 cross-channel platform that maximizes the potential in both Landbased and Internet Gaming with the broadest games available in its platform. We believe that now is the best timing for us to show our strength in the Latin American market. As the first Interactive Entertainment Company from Asia with a strategic focus on combining the fun of interactive entertainment with the real money casino gaming experience, 1/3 of our staff are Spanish speaking, thus guarantee our immediate response to the needs in Latin market.

Based on your research and observations, what differences and similarities exist between Latin American and Asian operators? And what about the players?

Both are emerging markets which are open-minded for new ideas and innovation, and both markets have an indefinite potential for the growth in gaming business. Players are equally clever in knowing how to play the games and continually demanding for new game designs and ideas to enrich their entertainment needs. I think the only different will be the language, and that’s why our platform is supporting multi-language function.

What are your goals for the first year in Latin America?

We’re taking our first steps in Latin America and expanding our network in the Latin American markets, yet at the same time, intensifying our exisiting network and partnerships in countries such as Peru, Colombia and Mexico. We hope the ability to deploy in both Landbased and Internet Gaming will give us an advantage of quick response to the market.

Stark's Industries is TGG’s distributor in Peru and Colombia. Which Latin American countries are you especially interested in at this stage of your expansion in the region and why? Do you have other distributors in the region?

The partnership with Stark’s Industries has given TGG a solid foundation to expand and to establish a firm footing in Peru, and the opportunity to continue our expansion in Latin America. We believe it is a good start for both Stark’s Industries and TGG, and we are both looking forward to the win-win outcome.
