ETG markets are showing the most amount of growth and this is something that bridges the gap between the previous traditional player and the new player that is frequenting the gaming floor. Many reports, including our own ETG Player Portrait Study, show that ETG players are just as likely to be under 50 as over 50. These players also enjoy slots and table games in addition to ETGs more than non-ETG players do. Not having ETGs on the casino floor means the opportunity to extend the trip is lost. Our business is focused on the evolution of our products and due to this our business has flourished globally.

Why do you continue to support the G2E Asia? How do you see the ETG market developing in Asia? Where do the opportunities lie? Is there appetite for Electronic Table Games?
The G2E Asia trade show is a very important event for Interblock. It provides a perfect platform for us to highlight and show our customers new products that have been developed. The G2E this year was very successful with added growth in attendees and this showed on our stand. Our products were extremely well received by our customers with an overwhelming interest in our latest ETG solutions, which I believe will further add to the position of being the #1 ETG supplier to all successful Asian Casinos.

Opportunities for Interblock lie in new products in new markets and markets where we already have a presence, side bets and growing player acceptance of ETG’s. We all know that the ETG has the ability to bring new players to the casino floor and our focus shows that this is the case.
In an effort to recover from the economic downturn, Macau, once a hub for VIP players, is trying to focus on the mass market. When will see direct impact of this shift in strategy on both gaming and non-gaming revenue?
All casinos in Macau have made changes to their strategy to be able to enhance and drive their business through mass offerings. As they also extend this strategy to be able to offer more products focused on the Mass player then we are sure that the shift will be evident. Timing is always difficult to predict but those that are first to adapt will also see the benefit in spades.
What are your expansion plans for the Asian region?
We re-entered Macau with our current generation of products nearly two years ago. Our focus is on all Asia Pacific markets and their incremental differences so that all operators have the opportunity to place our product on their floor. We believe that we can be a part of the biggest growth segment in Gaming that has ever been seen in 10 years.
