hase 1 of the major project is scheduled to be launched by the end of the year.

Tiger Resort President Steve Wolstenholme pointed out that they have entered the second stage in the resort’s development and that that particular phase would take several years to be completed. The total amount of $2.7 billion has been invested in the completion of Phase 1 of the ambitious plan.

Wolstenholme told media that the considerable investment in Manila Bay Resorts, as the resort is to be called, is indicative of Okada’s confidence in the project’s future success as well as in the Philippines as a future major gambling and tourism destination.

The official has also pointed out that Phase 1 of the hotel and casino project would probably create more than 8,000 jobs, mostly for residents of the Philippines. The Manila Bay Resorts project includes as many as four phases. As Wolstenholme pointed out the resort being on budget and on schedule depends on the parent company’s cash flows, among other things.

The official revealed that the expenditure is still being evaluated and the future phases are to cost hundreds of millions of dollars but their materialization is yet to be determined and depends mainly on how the plan is going forward.

When launched, Manila Bay Resorts would become the third integrated casino resort in Entertainment City, a multi-billion-dollar complex located in the heart of the Philippines’ capital. The expensive project includes the construction and launch of four such integrated resorts and a number of other accommodation and entertainment facilities.

Two of the resorts – Solaire Resort & Casino and City of Dreams, have already been launched. Resorts World Bayshore would be the fourth complex to be part of Entertainment City. It is expected to open doors in 2018.
