Win Systems has welcomed Ioannis Katakis to its team as Head of Lottery Business Solutions, spearheading the expansion of this business unit in the company.

Win Systems has welcomed Ioannis Katakis to its team as Head of Lottery Business Solutions, spearheading the expansion of this business unit in the company.

atakis has a Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, a Masters in Electronic and Telecommunication and a PhD in Bio-Engineering. He served as General Commercial & Strategy Director for the Intralot Group for 17 years.

During his time in Intralot he developed and proposed the strategy and business opportunities in the global gaming markets to the company’s top management, also serving as the lead in winning management and operation contracts in many countries around the world. He established MALTCO Lotteries in Malta (2001), as the operator of the National Lottery of Malta, the first privatized lottery globally. From 2012 he served as executive CEO of the company.

Because of his global achievements he was elected in September 2015, member of the PGRI Gaming Industry Hall of Fame.
