hat do you expect to see at the 2016 edition of Fadja Colombia?
Our goal has been and will remain the same: to accompany our customers and trusted partners throughout their journey, and position ourselves as indisputed leaders within the gaming industry. There is no other company that we know of that offers such a wide portfolio of games and solutions like ours. We're aware that being a leader entails a lot of responsabilities, and we see it as an obligation to always put the clients first. This said, we strive to provide the best service possible for each client we represent.
What business opportunities does Colombia and the wider Latam region present? What is it that makes the Colombian market so attractive and thriving?
Both Colombia and Peru stand out from other Latin American countries because of their highly dense populations. The expectations of most gaming manufacturers are placed upon those markets which are attractive for investment. In relation to this, the restrictions on foreign imports in Argentina led to a shift in business operations which benefited countries such as Colombia and Peru where there are millions of players and a lot of potential for growth.
"The Colombian market is very much focused on the local player, hence it wouldn't be severely affected by the possible changes in Brazil"
What are your best performing products or lines in the country?
There can be no doubt that what happened with our 88 Fortunes was extraordinary not only in Colombia but in other parts of the world as well. At the moment, our ambition is to position our Fu Dao Le on the Wave cabinet at the core of the market. We're looking to capitalize on that. At the same time, we're aiming to give our popular multigames a strong push, as it is the case of the successful progressive, Life of Luxury, from WMS.
At the 2016 FADJA we'll be debuting the TwinStar, a stunning dual 24-inchcabinet that delivers WMS and Bally titles with maximum impact, keeping player engagement high with multiple progressives and great games. Another exciting product on display will be our Dualos cabinet, a dual 23-inch high-definition screen cabinet with superior sound, OLED digital buttons, integrated ambient lighting, and an 18.5-inch digital topper.
Our objective is to continue on this successful path.
Both operators and gaming companies see Colombia as one of Latin America's ripest markets for investment, due to its stability and growth. But over the past days, several operators have shown concerns about the possible legalization of gambling in Brazil. Will there still be business potential in Colombia if Brazil finally legalizes gambling?
I'd say yes, there would still be business potential in Colombia given the case that Brazil legalizes gambling. The Colombian market is very much focused on the local player, hence it wouldn't be severely affected by the possible changes in Brazil.
How would you assess the current state of online gambling in Colombia? When will we see full adoption of this activity throughout Latam?
In regards to the online gaming sector in Colombia and the wider Latin American region, there's still a long way to go and tons of conversations to be held.
