he companies will develop a MotoGP-branded virtual sports game for the most exciting two-wheeled series in the world.
The on-demand title will utilize the Core HTML5 framework and innovative WebGL 3D browser technology, which has been already been demonstrated to the public successfully through a virtual sports partnership with Sky Vegas.
With household names such as multiple world champions Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, the world's premier motorcycle-racing series has a loyal following of tens of millions of fans across the globe.
To complement this groundbreaking partnership, Sam Lowes, one of MotoGP's up-and-coming British riders, will serve as a CoreGaming brand ambassador through to 2017. Lowes will be on the Storm stand (N1, 243) from 12-1 p.m. at ICE this Tuesday, Feb. 2.
"This partnership with Dorna Sports offers our customers the chance to tap into MotoGP, a globally-recognized and revered brand," said Core Gaming CEO Justin Chamberlain. "MotoGP is massively popular worldwide, and you only need to see one race packed full of incidents, speed and skill to see why that's the case. Our goal is to bring that same high-octane action into our virtual sports portfolio and to keep pushing boundaries in the industry."
"Reaching this agreement with Core Gaming is an important step into the world of online gambling, with its virtual sports game giving users the chance to enjoy MotoGP on a whole new level, immersing them even further into the sport they love," said Pau Serracanta, managing director of Dorna's commercial area. "I look forward to this new partnership with Core Gaming and eagerly await the game's release."
