hat can you tell us about IGT's performance at the 2015 SAGSE exhibition in Buenos Aires?
IGT presented a compelling portfolio of games, hardware and a leading casino systems solution at SAGSE 2015. The trade show gave us the opportunity to feature a variety of multi-game offerings on the CrystalDual cabinet and the Outstanding Orange Deluxe diversity Suite on the Oxygen Upright cabinet. Trade show attendees experienced a unique 3D glasses-free gaming experience on the SPHINX 3D game. This award-winning TRUE 3D title will soon be available for our customers in Argentina. To showcase our systems business, IGT featured System2go, a software application that enables operators to access their casino management systems remotely from any location. These products directly reflect the Company’s commitment to innovation and its vast product portfolio that can meet our customers’ unique business needs.
Our customers in Argentina were very excited about our newly combined offerings and felt that our contribution to the show is a clear sign that we are truly committed to this market. SAGSE remains a significant trade show for IGT, and gives us the opportunity to continue building and enhancing our valued relationships with our customers.
How do you see the scenario changing in Argentina, after the presidential elections?
Argentina is a very important market for us, and our large floor share brings a certain responsibility with it. Like any other market in the world, the country has its challenges. This has not and will not distract us from serving our customers with products and solutions that meet their needs. We welcome any reduction of challenges from the new government, but will not wait for it and will continue to service our customers as IGT has done for many years.
Some see Argentina as a springboard to expand their presence in the Latin American region. What do you think about the Latin American gambling market as a whole? What are your main markets in terms of slot play?
Latin America’s gaming market remains a significant region for IGT and the new organization’s combined strength enables us to expand our support for customers in Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Argentina. Our newly combined sales team is equipped with a diverse product portfolio that can drive profitability for our customers and elicit player excitement. Given our Customer First focus, our approach is to work closely with our customers to deliver best-in-class content, supported by local service in each region.
How do you expect to end the year? What are your goals for the year ahead?
We’ve had a very successful year in Latin America and would like to thank all our customers across the continent for putting their trust in our products and our organization. We plan to continue growing our local presence within Latin America while reinforcing our unwavering commitment to meaningful innovation across multiple platforms. We will continue to introduce a wide variety of entertaining experiences for players by leveraging our global studio presence to create market-attuned games.
