The event, which began at 3 p.m., started with a Customer Panel announced by Ricardo Regner, Scientific Games' Vice President of Sales and Operations for Latin America. Deron Hunsberger, Senior Vice President of North America Sales, also served as a host at the VIP event.
The presentation counted with the presence of 15 clients. “We wanted to hear both the positive and negative opinions of our customers,” company's representatives pointed out. Attendees had the chance to witness presentations by María Pía Boselli, Product Manager for Latin America, who discussed player demographics and the Latin American market; and Greg Colella, who gave a brief review on the company's product portolio.
The innovation segment was lead by Brian Kelly, who's in charge of Scientific Games' lab in the region. The panel discussions were followed by a cocktail and a dinner. Later in the evening, 30 more clients joined the event to exchange experiences in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. The event had everything, from band presentation's to magician's acts.
“We're excited to be presenting our games in Argentina for the first time since the mergers,” said Ricardo Regner when the night concluded. “Our team is extremely proud to have been able to schedule such an event,” he commented.
“We showed our Latin American customers the best of Bally, WMS and SHFL for the region and their response was fantastic,” he stated.
Commenting on the attendance, Regner said, “Operators from all over the country and customers from both Peru and Chile have come to Scientific Games' event. We're living a reality that I had never seen before. This momentum puts us in great position with our clients, who want to make great deals with us because they know we're in conditions to provide an end-to-end, comprehensive solution to each and every operator in the region,” he added.
When asked about the possibility of bringing the event to other countries in the region, Regner recalled the experience of 2014: “We held the exact same event a year ago, with Bally and SHFL; and we replicated it two months ago in Puerto Rico. These events serve as a complement to existing trade shows. This format has proved very effective, as it gives us the opportunity to communicate with our clients in a more personal way,” he concluded.
