Sky Betting and Gaming has closed down its social gaming business less than a year after the launch of its flagship social casino title.

T

he idea is to focus on its core real-money gaming business. The division was led by Facebook veteran Bruce Bale, who had joined the business in 2013. In that time however the business only launched one major product, with Sky Hollywood Slots going live in January.

The social casino app was developed in partnership with B2B social software provider OpenWager, which has also recently developed titles for US media brand USA Today and Casinos Austria subsidiary Win2Day.
