IJUEGO was born as a Brand and an event for the gaming industry in 2010 in Lima, Peru, even though initially it received the name of the International Gaming Congress (CIJUEGO). Several editions took place in Lima.
Last year this meeting place for the gaming industry took place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia; with the name, we know it today, SIJUEGO, together with CIBELAE. Conferences plus a corporate sample between 20 and 30 companies is the combo that it offers. It takes place annually and from now on, in each edition; it will visit a Colombian city. The fact is that the organizers have already confirmed that edition 2016 will take place in Cali, the third city in the country, during the same time of the year.
"We want to promote an academic training and integration culture of the different sectors that make up the Colombian gaming industry: casinos, bingos, lotteries, betting and innovative games. SIJUEGO really stems from concerns and requests of many operators in Colombia, looking forward to an event that transcends the commercial. In the framework of FADJA, there have been trainings but since this is a very large trade shows and the assemblies of the unions will also take place, the participants do not have enough time to gather together in a training room. That is why we concluded that it was necessary a fixed and permanent training space, independent from FADJA,” declared Jose Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of 3A Producciones, the company organizing the event, this time together with the National Consortium of Gaming Dealers (CONNAZAR).
Medellin is the venue chosen for this year. Antioquia, the department where the city is located, is one that has bigger casino operators and gambling companies. It is a region with great economic activity. Much of the national gambling market is in the area.
The fifth edition of SIJUEGO supported by supervisory bodies such as the Coljuegos and ITRC agency, and associations such as the the Colombian Federation of Gaming Businessmen (FECEAZAR), the Colombian Gaming Management Federation (FECOLJUEGOS) and the Federation of Colombian Lotteries (FEDELCO).
The event will take place on on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday July 29 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Medellin, Colombia. Training will begin in the morning and run until after noon. Corporate shows will open at 16 hrs until 20 hrs.
An appeal of the symposium will be the meeting between representatives of the national banking and financial entities willing to lend and seek alliances to facilitate the replacement of machinery and equipment while the connection to the On Line system is being implemented in Colombia, demanding technological upgrade to a huge batch of obsolete slots machines.
