US-based restaurant and entertainment group Latitude360 has agreed a deal to acquire Major League Fantasy (MLF) as part of a move to support its expansion into the daily fantasy sports industry.

The experience will include the option to play for fun or real money, with players able to access dedicated VIP ‘Black Rooms’ for high roller gameplay.

Customers inside the Black Room and casual players in the ‘Sports Theatre’ will have access to new game modes, daily featured prized contests and various interactive tools that MLF said are not available on any current daily fantasy websites or applications.

“We at Latitude360 see it as something our sports fan patrons will definitely enjoy when they come to visit our locations,” Latitude360 chief executive officer Brent Brown said.

“They’ll know we’re giving them the best daily fantasy sports experience available anywhere, and our HD Sports Theatres are a perfect venue for the ‘360 Fantasy LIVE’ daily fantasy sports experience

Jesse Merl, who founded MLF and had been serving as its chief executive officer, will take on the role of president of the ‘360 Fantasy Live’ division.

Speaking about the deal, Merl added: “We are confident that along with the ability to interact socially through our product, the ability to join in the energy of the live group viewing experience is going to be a differentiator that matters when people decide where to be during big games.”
