The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has announced that its 2015 Annual Conference will take place in Lima, Peru on October 13-15, 2015. The event will explore issues affecting gaming regulators, policymakers and industry executives in gambling markets around the world.

The conference will focus on challenges faced by regulators as they seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of gambling oversight. Expected to attend the annual gathering are IAGR members who represent gaming jurisdictions from throughout the world including those in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. Industry representatives are also invited to attend the conference.

“This will be IAGR’s first conference to be held in South America and we are very enthusiastic about this important development,” said Birgitte Sand, President of IAGR and Director of the Danish Gambling Authority. “We are looking forward to enhancing our relationships with gaming regulators in Peru and throughout the Latin American continent. South America has a very active gaming industry and as we welcome its regulators into the IAGR family, we expand our knowledge base to the benefit of all our members.”

Conference Planning Sub-Committee Co-Chair and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Licensing Director, Susan Hensel said, “We are putting together a first rate conference program focused on leading edge issues and technologies. Together with my Co-Chair and Director-General of the Swedish Gambling Authority, Hakan Hallstedt, we are planning sessions examining not only the latest developments in the ever evolving gaming industry but also how those developments impact gaming regulation.”

The conference is being held in conjunction with the International Masters of Gaming Law annual conference which will run October 14-16, 2015. “It is our hope that many members from both IMGL and IAGR but also a significant number of gambling stakeholders from industry will take advantage of this excellent opportunity to meet and establish or consolidate professional relations and exchange valuable knowledge and latest views on gambling from both regional and global perspectives,” underlined Birgitte Sand.
