B

ased on your recent experience at SAGSE Central America & Caribbean, how do you see the Panamanian market and how's your company positioned in it?

Alfastreet's strong bond with Panama is the result of a conception of long-term relationships based on a virtuous triangle: product, process and people. Panama continues to lead the region with the highest projected growth of its economy, especially as far as gaming industry is concerned. It is also true that the offer has grown significantly, in the segment of complete casinos and that represents a great challenge for both operators and manufacturers; we provide our clients with unconditioned and complete support in this context which reflects in very successful sales results.

What are both the high and low points of the Panamanian market, regarding exports and imports?

Panama is a dollar-bonded economy with signed free trade agreements with the large blocks (USA and CCEE), with preferential treatment for EGM. On the other hand, this open economy presents some resistance from local banks in providing services to casino operators and industry suppliers. Nevertheless we see Panama as one of the most successful markets for our company.

Many Latin American markets are experiencing deep changes. Which one, in your opinion, is best positioned to overcome the challenges the industry is facing?

At the macroeconomic level: Panamá, Peru, Dominican Rep., but business volume is not there. Chile may be one that is best positioned to face the challenges. Regarding the gaming industry the picture is a little bit different as usual – we are experiencing a steady growth all over Latin America, with peaks such as Panama with practically 100% market share. Of course there is more to come soon!

In the last two years all of Panama's new casinos have chosen Alfastreet roulettes. Why have Alfastreet's roulettes become a reference product in the country?

We prioritize the prefence of operators and strongly invest in development. We're constantly improving our service by customizing our product offering, from casino to casino. Panama is a market where you can find one of the most extensive offers of our vast portfolio: Alfastreet’s icon, our R8 Roulette machine and both the R4 and R5, along with our Multigame platform.

Where will you be exhibiting in the second half of 2015?

Next step is the presence at the Peru Gaming Show (on 10th and 11th of June 2015) and of course G2E Las Vegas in September, where we will exhibit (for the first time in America) our Royal Derby, the only electromechanical horse-racing machine in the industry, that captivated all attendees at ICE 2015. Alfastreet's Royal Derby has generated high expectations in Latin America, and the first installations are coming very soon.
