hat can you tell us about your company and the services you provide?
The Bright Group (TBG) is a supplier to the gaming industry servicing all the major OEM’s with our own products and also design assistance and know-how during our customer’s R&D stages. Our early involvement with the customers’ engineering teams helps enhance the final looks, feel and function of our customer’s cabinets. TBG’s direct presence in 3 countries, Sydney (Australia), Wuxi (China) and Las Vegas (USA), makes us ideally placed to serve the gaming industry's needs from early engineering involvement to finished design for manufacture. With full focus on the gaming market we offer design and manufacturing services from simple wiring harnesses to complete cabinet assemblies, from generic toppers to custom designed theme based toppers, top boxes and gaming signage. We are also a distributor of gaming industry well-known brands such as Wells-Gardner monitors and Misco speakers.
What are your expectations for the G2E Asia show?
We will showcase our latest Magnum Topper Range that we released last year. Our Magnum range have proved to be a success and we have received excellent market response. Our design team are currently busy working on new shapes and sizes to meet specific customer requirements. The Magnum toppers offer a thin modern design utilizing our latest lighting technology. Over the years our customers have told us the importance of being able to change artwork fast and easily in the casinos, avoiding wasting the technicians valuable time. With this feedback in mind we have developed a topper that use magnets to hold the artwork in place eliminating the need for tools. As a result changing of artwork is literally done in about 15 seconds, and the topper looks great with a halo displaying vivid RGB colours. Another great feature of the Magnum topper concept is that we can design almost any custom shape and size on a very short lead-time, helping customers meet their time-to-market challenges.
We will very soon also release a video version in this range, but unfortunately it is not ready for G2E Asia.
We will also display some new lighting concepts we have been working on lately. Most of our lighting solutions are customer specific and developed together with the customer. Sometimes it’s a component of a larger assembly, other times we end up doing the complete assembly for the customer. Most products displayed during the show are completed designs and already in use on the casino floors. We see the end result from our projects everywhere as we walk around the gaming shows.
What are your expansion plans?
We mainly work with the gaming machine OEM’s but also direct with Casinos on a smaller scale. Attending exhibitions is important to TBG, not just for displaying our latest developments but also to find out where the market is moving. Our presence at the show allows us to see first-hand the latest products, while also meeting with associates and clients, and getting valuable feedback on our own offerings.
Bearing in mind that the gaming industry is undergoing some challenges, how are you going to continue growing your business?
This year TBG celebrates 20 years of business. We believe we have done the necessary investments to continue our growth throughout 2015. We have some very interesting projects in the works currently that we expect will come to fruition later this year. So far this year we have already exhibited at London ICE show. Later this year we will also exhibit at Sydney AGE and Las Vegas G2E shows, covering all the top 4 gaming shows. Last year we also exhibited at SAGSE Argentina for the first time and we are considering doing that again this year.
Besides marketing activities we have increased our capabilities throughout the company. In Sydney we have invested in a CNC router and printer, assisting our R&D team to make prototypes in-house rather than relying on external suppliers reducing product development lead-time. We have upgraded our China operation by moving to a much larger and more modern facility as well as invested in new machinery and improved processes. Additional upgrade have also happened to our Las Vegas operation, and we have also invested in human resources throughout the company.
