Established in December 2011, DOGA serves as the trade organization for the Danish online gaming industry.
Major brands such as Bet365, Betfair, Ladbrokes and Unibet are amongst those operators that have signed up as members.
Johansen has now been appointed to oversee operations at the DOGA alongside his day-to-day role at Betsson, a position he has held since December 2013.
Prior to his time with Betsson, Johansen spent just over two years with Betfair, first serving as country manager for Denmark before going on to become area manager and later head of international marketing.
Johansen has also held various roles with Søndagsavisen, Berlingske Media, Bacardi-Martini and Danske Spil.
