irplay made its debut as exhibitor in SAGSE Panama and in Buenos Aires last year, Why did you decide to showcase at FADJA 2015?
Our participation at last year’s trade shows filled us with enthusiasm and gave us the chance to take our first steps in Latin America. Undoubtedly, we want to keep expanding our business in the region, and we believe FADJA is the place to be, as it allows Sirplay to promote its wide range of products and consolidate its position within the gaming industry. FADJA is a hub of communication and trends.
What products will you be showcasing?
In the past few months, Sirplay has focused all its efforts in the design and implementation of several development plans. First of all, we aim to locate a new office in Colombia. Second, to consolidate an important Alliance with Betradar.
As a serious and responsible gaming provider, Sirplay’s always working to cope with each jurisdiction’s legislation. Our Sports Betting System was tested by leading experts from aroung the globe and certified by GLI.
Having succesfully entered the Panamanian, Argentinian and Colombian markets, what can you tell us about Sirplay’s last year’s perfomance in those countries?
Sirplay has been investing in Latin America for two years. Panama was a huge launch pad for the company, being our first experience as exhibitors in the region.
SAGSE Argentina was a completely different experience. As we were aware of our strong potential, the Argentinian trade show gave us the opportunity to face a different market, a market from which we soon hope to reap the rewards.
FADJA 2015 will help us strengthen and reaffirm our brand in Colombia.
Why is the Colombian market relevant for Sirplay?
Colombia is an attractive marketing segment for us. We recognize that Colombians enjoy betting and we found out that there aren’t many types of betting options in the country. This means that the market is ready to open its doors to new trends and innovative gaming ideas.
¿What’s your opinion on Coljuegos work to regulate sports betting?
I really appreciate Coljuegos efforts to regulate sports betting. I hope that, in the short-term, the licesing process becomes applicable for a wider range of products, such as the ones Sirplay offers to its customers.
Right now we are working hard to develop a new system that complies with existing requirements. We trust Coljuegos professionalism and, of course, we will let you know the news as soon as we have any information.
Last year, you announced you were working on a new project to open an office in Latin America, in which phase of the project are you right now?
That’s right. Sirplay is strongly investing in different countries with the aim of growing its business and strengthening its relationships with customers. We’re constantly seeking new opportunities.
In Latin America, the project is on track. We’ve already found a General Manager for Latin America and we will announce further updates, soon. We’ve also found the perfect location for our office in Bogota and, once our development plan with Coljuegos gets the green light, we will hire operational staff.
