Mexico: New casino law to go into effect in 3 months

(Mexico).- Mexico's new casino regulation will go into effect in three months' time, which will require Mexican casinos to ask for digital fingerprint and documentation to show proof of the legal buying and selling of products on.

T

he new regulation was supported by the President of the Commission of Public Security of the Puebla Congress, Francisco Rodríguez Álvarez, and also includes pawn shops, courier and security transport services and other similar companies.

Alvarez also said that companies that do not comply with the new regulations will be closed. They will have to have surveillance cameras and pawn shops will be required to provide a digital footprint and documentation to prove the legal buying and selling of the goods.

The representative pointed out that the regulation is connected to the amendment of the Law of Public Security for the State, proposed by governor Rafael Moreno Valle, which was already approved by local representatives.

Francisco Rodríguez said that those in charge of drawing up  the legal framework for the law's implementation are Secretary Generals of Government and Public Security,  Luis Maldonado Venegas and Facundo Rosas Rosas.
