Leading gambling experts talked at Crimea Gaming Congress

(Russia).- Crimea Gaming Congress was held in Yalta on August 22, 2014. The special event was attended by representatives of authorities, investors, leading players of gambling industry and international experts. Crimea Gaming Congress disclosed all relevant matters of gambling business that were banned within 5 years.

The Congress was opened by Vitaliy Nahlupin, a Chairman of the Committee on fiscal and investment policy of the Republic of Crimea. He informed the public on all matters of the gambling zone development, and proposed to establish an expert group for collaboration. He also invited an organizer of the congress, an exhibition company Smile-Expo, to be a member of such group. 

 

Vitaly Nahlupin said that the Crimea was a popular concentration of tourist routes and an optimal site for the gambling facilities. Responding to numerous questions, he noted that the new resort facility would be built independently, and would not become a part of any of the existing businesses. Modern technologies allow creating and equipping the gambling area in a relatively short period of time, literally, within a year. "This will be a year-round global gambling zone, first of its kind in the territory of the Russian Federation", he said. "And we would like the investors from around the world with experience of similar work to be interested in this object." According to Vitaliy Nahlupina, a regional law on gambling zone in the Republic of Crimea will be adopted before the end of this year.

The next speaker was Andrew Rostenko, an acting mayor of Yalta. He said that the gambling zone would be located in the area of the Big Yalta, and invited investors to cooperation. Andrew Rostenko expressed confidence that there would be new, beautiful and aesthetic, in terms of architecture, objects in the Big Yalta and their activities would influence the development of the region for the better. Alexey Chernyak, a Chairman of the Standing Committee of the State Council on Sanatorium and Resort Complex and Tourism, explained that the gambling zone could be placed over Gurzuf. The authorities of the Russian Federation are interested in the development of this beautiful place; in addition, this site could become popular among tourists and gamblers. Alexey Chernyak also told about the infrastructure business opportunities.

Sergey Karnaukh, an adviser of the Acting Head of the Republic, spoke about the prospects for the local residents and the large number of new jobs. "The gambling zone in the Crimea should become the engine of development of the whole peninsula", Sergey Karnaukh said.

Issues concerning bookmakers and betting houses were discussed by Anastasia Krasnova and Yekaterina Tsimbalyuk, the representatives of one of the leading betting companies Pari Match. At the same time the speech of Maksim Smolentsev, the Director General of Shambala JSC, was not planned, but still very important. It was he who told the participants of the Congress about specifics of Azov-City zone, as well as how much money this gambling zone brought in the budget.

Important issues of licensing and taxation of gambling activities in the new subject of the Federation were revealed by Reza Aliyev, a deputy head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.

Mustafa Ismaz, a managing coordinator of Princess International, also spoke at the Congress. He said that such a large network was also considering the possibility to build their casino in the Crimea. A representative of Onebett Company answered the question "Who will open betting shops on the peninsula and how many". According to Maksim Baev, Onebett Company, PariMatch, Rub90, Bingo Boom and Afrodite Casinothe will be presented in the Crimea. 

Maria Lepschikova, an expert in legal support of the gambling business, told about all the changes in connection with the opening of the gambling zone in the Crimea. 

The participants of the Congress could share their business ideas and plans for the future in an informal setting during the dinner in the restaurant "Ai-Petri", located in Yalta-Intourist Hotel.

The Gaming Congress was the first real action in the industry after the adoption of the law on new gambling zones and gave a start to the development of gambling business on the South Coast. The next important event for the representatives of the gambling industry in the CIS and Eastern Europe will be held in Sochi. On November 5-6, 2014 there will be held Russian Gaming Week (RGW`Sochi), the International Exhibition of Gambling and Entertainment. Russian Gaming Week Conference and Exhibition will be dedicated not only to the discussion of current issues of the industry.
