“The future of Bally in Peru is promising”

(Peru, exclusive During the latest edition of PGS, held June 11 and 12 in Lima, Peru, Bally made its debut sharing space with Shufflemaster and, according to statements by Ricardo Regner, Vice President for Latin America, “the feedback from the assistants was very positive.”


ow was Peru Gaming Show 2014 for Bally?
We had great expectations for PGS 2014, because it was our first time there.We shared out space with Shufflemaster and together we managed to showcase the most innovative and complete suite of casino products: slots, tables, land-based and online systems and shufflers. The visitors’ response was very positive.

Were all the operators you expected to attend present at the show?
All the customers we expected visited us and it was a great chance to show them how our products can adapt to their needs and maximize profitability at the same time. PGS, which continues to grow each year, also collaborated to achieve an excellent business environment.

What was the product that attracted the most attention from visitors at your booth?
Several of our products attracted the public’s attention…including Bally Wave, with its curved 40’’ monitor and which won an award at G2E 2013 with its Fu Dao Le game, The Flintstones and The Pink Panther in Equinox cabinet and Bally Multigame V22 with its High5 games, along with as well as the Premium launch of the ZZ Top and Titanic titles, which bring a unique experience of fun, light and sound. Both of these products made our stand one of the most visited at the show.

What is table games’ potential in the Peruvian market? How are operators and players responding to SHFL entertainment products that are now part of the Bally family?
Table games have potential in every market, anyway, operators and players have always responded very positively to SHFL products because they represent the highest quality and market reliability. We have also been surprised by the high demand of SHFL products in Peru  for its Equinox cabinet.
Have you signed any agreements during the show? If so, what kind?
We have signed the first agreement to install the Wave cabinet in Peru, for which we have great expectations because in other markets it has duplicated, and sometimes tripled, the casino average. Several deals have also been signed at the show, including the sale of V22 and Equinox cabinets.
What are Bally’s goals for Peru and the rest of the Andean region?
The goal for Peru is to continue positioning the brand in the market, with games more customized according to the preferences of the local player, both mathematically and in the sensorial aspects. It is a task we started some time ago and which we have already started reaping positive results. The future for Bally in Peru is promising.
