hat did you think of Peru Gaming Show?
The Peru Gaming Show is a great opportunity for Konami Gaming, Inc. alongside our regional distributor Pacific Gaming to thank our existing customers and network with future clients. This year we received a wealth of positive feedback from our customers. As we do business in the coming months, we’ll continue to provide them the highest standard in service and innovation to meet their evolving needs.
How would you define the audience at the show? Did you meet with all the operators that you expected?
This has been a very creative event ever since it began,, demonstrating new technology and innovation front-and-center to an impressive congregation of industry leaders. Visitors to the Konami booth this year experienced a wide range of new products that demonstrate our company’s core principle: games that are fun to play, will perform, and games that perform, are fun for operators to have at their properties.
The Peru Gaming Show supports an outstanding annual attendance. It gives us the perfect opportunity to talk with operators from more distant provinces and cities that we may not have the pleasure of seeing face-to-face throughout the year. A large majority of our clients always come out every year, and this year especially we had a lot of new customers seeking us out and asking about Konami products.
How important is the Peruvian market for Konami?
The Peruvian market is very important market for us. Currently, Konami holds a strong standing in Peru due to the fact that our products are performing very well. In just three or four years, we’ve been able to establish ourselves in the market, with the help of Pacific Gaming. Konami will continue to support this foundation and mindfully seek opportunities to invest in even greater resources as time goes on.
What is your most popular product here? What is it the most popular?
By and large, our most popular product is the Podium cabinet; the main reason being that our video slots are a perfect fit for the Peruvian market. Konami games have proven staying power for engaging high-frequency gaming consumers, and Peru’s gaming industry is rooted in locals’ casinos. So operators in Peru are seeing how Konami builds games that keep people coming back, for months and months down the road.
What products did you showcase at PGS? How were they received?
There were a number of emerging developments at the Peru Gaming Show this year, and Konami led the way with several cutting-edge recent releases for Latin America’s gaming population. Our new Selexion multi-game was at the forefront. Suddenly players have a variety of different video slot game themes housed in one standalone machine, a functionality which has been highly anticipated by gaming professionals of all specialties.
SeleXion multi-game is multi-lingual, multi-denominational, and has the fastest transition available between games. Operators at PGS were especially impressed by the scrolling multi-game attract mode on the top screen, which is designed to allow customers to see the special functions and variety of game themes available.
Another big launch at this year’s event was Dragon’s Victory, Konami’s next-generation 4-level linked progressive. In this mystery progressive game, players uncover precious medallions by scorching a path of glimmering pearls with the breath of a fire dragon. It leverages an exceptional array of Konami game themes and a multi-stage bonus event with four jackpot levels. So with Dragon’s Victory you really see how Konami products are both fun and drive performance value. We’re very excited for what Dragon’s Victory will bring to the area.
Konami also shared a number of follow-up titles to support its existing base of products for the popular Podium Video Cabinet. Mystical Merrow, Double Dynasty and Quest for Diamonds were among the featured new game titles at the event in June, all of which are available for purchase through Pacific Gaming.
What are you planning for Peru and de Andean Region for the coming months?
We were thrilled by the feedback we received from our customers at PGS. They were very excited about our new releases and the comments they shared were overwhelmingly positive. It’s an immense privilege to work with the region’s best and brightest operations professionals and we look forward to expanding connections with new and long-time customers in Peru and Latin America in the coming years.
