t 15 hs, Giorgio Gennari Litta and Alan Burak, on behalf of the organization of the event, and Giselle Brea, head of the Gambling Control Committee in Panama, welcomed a new edition of SAGSE, with the traditional ribbon cut.
The expectation was big, because the Caribbean and Latin American event will be held this year –and for the first time- at Hotel El Panamá Convention Center, having left traditional Atlapa Center, where it previously took place.
And the result was satisfactory, because the modern convention center enabled a tidy first day, in which the public volumen was noticeably greater that in previous editions, and the main regional gaming operators were present. The general climate was very positive, and the main manufacturers highlighted, during yesterday afternoon, the positive level of the event.
A test case of the greater level of public and businesses experimented during yesterday afternoon was the firm Aristocrat, which, on top of having offered an “open bar and food” service, which was very attractive for the visitors, informed that it achieved to sale the 100% of the machines in exhibition, and agreed new sales with operating companies at a local level, so they showed their satisfaction with the preliminar results of their presence in Panama.
Besides, SAGSE authorities honored the two leading figures of the gaming sector, through the “Golden Eagle” Awards. Winners in this occasion were Thomas Niehenke, Director of Operations of Merkur Gaming, and Helios Navarro, head of Cirsa Panama, who were honored and grateful due to SAGSE recognition of their experience and relevance in the industry.
And to close an excellent day, at night, the organizers of Miss Gaming Panama honored SAGSE visitors with a new edition of its popular beauty contest, in which 9 representatives of the main local casinos competed for the first place. The crown was, finally, in hands of the representative of Casino Majestic, closing a new edition of this popular contest.
This way, the first day of Panama show concluded with a positive balance both for visitors and for the 54 companies that assisted to the event. Before the beginning of the second and last day, today it is planned the organization of the first edition of Global Gaming Women in Latin America. The event, which will be held at 12,30 hs,is exclusive for women of the sector, and there, Karen Sierra, from GLI, will exhibit together with Marta Sánchez, Senior Consellor of Covey Consulting, the issue of effective leadership.
The wellcome speech will be given by Giselle Brea, Executive Director of the Panamanian Gambling Control Committee, and then it will be held the last day of SAGSE 2013 in Panama, in which it expects the launch of the new brand by its organizers, as well as the confirmation of dates for next year
