Enjoy received authorization from Uruguay to operate Conrad casino

Enjoy acquired the 45% of the block of shares from Conrad to US company Caesars Entertainment for us$ 139.52 million, which were financed through an increament in capital held at the beginning of the current year. In three to five years’ time, Enjoy will have the option to acquire the rest of the property, that will so far continue belonging to Caesars, with which Enjoy will increase its income in a 55%. 

According to the contracts, Enjoy will take control of the touristic complex in future weeks. “The authorization we received from the government of Uruguay to start operating Conrad hotel fills us with satisfacion. Now we have more presence in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, and we become the most relevant Latin American actor on casino management,” pointed Javier Martínez, General Manager of Enjoy.

On the other hand, Martínez highlighted that Conrad, which counts with 294 rooms and with a gambling venue equipped with 542 slots and 75 table games, is “the main resort and casino of South America and a real regional icon, valued worldwide.”

Conrad hotel is chosen both for tourists and travellers from the most varied places as well as by companies, brands and institutions worldwide, which prefer it to organize their seminars, events and conventions there.

Besides, the shows held on Conrad Punta del Este gather the most remarkable artists, bands, humorists, fashion designers and personalities from the international show business. 

Javier Martínez indicated that the complex has a great potential to continue growing. “The experience that Enjoy has built up in the industry and the regional and global relevance of Conrad and Punta del Este will combine to create sinergies that will benefit both the customers and the environments in which the company is present. We are sure we will do a great contribution to the development of the touristic industry in Uruguay and Latin America,” affirmed Martínez. 

Enjoy operates six casinos & resort and two casinos, one in Chile and one in Mendoza, Argentina. The integral entertainment model of Enjoy involves an offer addressed to different types of publics and tastes. This way, the chain has six hotels with a total of 727 rooms, five event, convention and show centers, 17 restaurants, 28 bars, two caffeterias, fours discos, five spas and a ski center. 

The eight casinos that Enjoy operates are equipped with a total of 6,015 slots, 274 table games and 860 bingo seats. With almost four decades of experience, Enjoy, is the only Latin American gaming company open to the Stock Market.
