“This was one of the best ICE exhibitions in recent years”

(UK, exclusive A few days after the conclusion of ICE Totally Gaming, Thomas Engstberger, Amatic Industries’ Sales Manager, made a balance on the performance of the firm and the products it presented. “Our short-term objective is to realise the great demand for our new Performer Grand Arc slant top gaming machine,” he highlighted.


hat is your opinion about ICE? How was the show for Amatic? How did you feel in the new venue?

Any doubts we might have had on the location quickly disappeared. This was one of the best ICE exhibitions in recent years. We had many international visitors who came to see our latest innovations. Our electronic roulettes – the Roulette Grand Jeu and Roulette Grand Jeu Double – were in strong demand. Furthermore, we got the feeling that our new slant top gaming machine – the Performer Grand Arc – was the talk of the show. Its curved form makes it truly unique in the market place.


How did visitors react to your major stand size and to the solutions that you have presented for Germany, Spain, the UK and Ireland?

It was only fitting when celebrating 20 years in business, that we take a stand size to match our respect and success in the industry. We have very focused solutions. Our international customers knew exactly where to find the solutions for their market. Secondly, they appreciated the fact that they could gain insight into our solutions to other markets. This can set new ideas alight. The German exhibition IMA did not take place this year. This gave us all the more reason to regionalise the stand. 


What other markets are important for the company?

Amatic Industries has a world of solutions. Our slot machines are operated in many segments – e.g. the casino market, the VLT market and the AWP market. Our Grand Jeu electronic roulettes are operated in both the casino and AWP markets. Naturally we are growing our presence in both the online and mobile markets. We wish to give the player the opportunity to enjoy Amatic games regardless where he or she is situated and on what type of gaming machine that may be.


What importance will Latin America have in your strategy?

The Latin American market is of fundamental importance to us. AMATIC Industries has already been successfully established in several Latin American countries already. Our task is to grow our Latin American presence – the feedback from both operators and players alike underlines that we are definitely on the right track.


Are you satisfied with the place given to online gaming within the show? How is Amatic positioned in this market segment?

Yes, we are satisfied with this. Online and mobile gaming continue their growth strategy and we at Amatic Industries have the right innovations to support the market here – all around the world.


How are you celebrating your 20 years in business?

We let our products do the talking. We are naturally very proud to be such a key industry player for twenty years now. We are focused on growing the solutions we offer even more.


What is your show calendar for the rest of the year?

Naturally we are there to support our clients locally. The gaming shows are very important to us. The next shows we will exhibit at (with our local partners) are in Ireland and Spain.


What are your objectives for the short term?

Our short-term objective is to realise the great demand for our new Performer Grand Arc slant top gaming machine. We are very busy in our production department and it is our goal to provide our customers with their requirements for our Performer Grand Arc in a timely fashion.
