(Panama, exclusive Yogonet.com).- “We have participated since the first SAGSE Panama and we didn’t want to stop doing it this year,” affirmed to Yogonet.com Alejandro Saraintaris, Aristocrat Director of Sales for South America. The executive also talked, among other issues, about the award that SAGSE authorities gave him during the event, in recognition of his “track record in the Latin American gaming market”.

This year you participated in SAGSE Panama with a new format for the company, sponsoring the bar…How has that experience turned out?
We chose this format in order to offer a different and innovative meeting space, and somehow, it is another way of supporting SAGSE people. We have been present from the beginning with them, and we wanted to do it again this year, so I believe this has been a very good option.

Do you think the Panamanian market will continue with the expansion it has been showing in recent years?
I think there are two grandes exponentes de operación in Panama nowadays. The groups have concentrated a lot, it is not the same as previous years, where there were many more operators. They bring together a high percentage of the local market, which keeps on growing and is a very good place, and we continue having a very good market share in the region, which demonstrates the quality of the product and the acceptance from operators. Aristocrat position in Panama is outstanding, as a result of the hard work that we have been doing in recent years.

Which is the strongest product of the company in the regional market?
The strongest product we have brought to the event, despite being present just at the bar, are two machines from Verve cabinet, with Tarzan game, which is number one in US. We have launched this game in the Latin American market and it has been operating since the summer in Conrad Uruguay. And as we wanted to emulate what we are doing in this casino, we can bring the scoop that these Tarzan machines will remain here in Panama, being the second Latin American country in operating them.

What does the acknowledgement to the “Track record in the Latin American gaming market” that SAGSE authorities gave you mean to you?
I really appreciate the people of Monografie (SAGSE organizers in Panama and Buenos Aires), both Giorgio Gennari and Alan Burak, and I am very proud of having received this recognition. It is an award to the experience, and, as I think we work in a sector that is very generous with us, this award is good to encourage the generation of executives that will follow us.

With regard to Argentina, a country in which you have your main offices for Latin America. How are the import barriers imposed by the Argentine government affecting your activities?
We are all involved in a rather complicated situation. However, I think the trend is that it will be regularized in the short term. I think the problem goes beyonf the gaming activities, it is a national issue, and I trust this situation will be revised and ordered, for the common good of all.
