UK to change the system of the gaming machines in 2013

(UK).- Prime Minister David Cameron government estabishes the modification of the tax system of all the gaming machines operating in the country. The current system is based on the fixed rate concept plus VAT on the gross incomes. The change is oriented towards the elimination of the fixed rate and that the taxation is on a percentage applied on gross gaming incomes.

he new tax system would apply to all the Amusement With Prizes (AWP) machines in cash, superior to the cost of the play, such as the machines operating in casinos, clubs, AWP, among others. The percentage on gross gaming incomes are calculated applying the principle of neutrality with which the State will collect, under any concept, as well as it happens nowadays.

The operators could deduct the VAT supported in the invoices paid. With regard to the mechanics, operators would declare its incomes si it will not be necessary to connect the machines to any online system.
