(Macau).- Bank of America Merrill Lynch forecasts Macau’s casino gross gaming revenue will grow between 13 % and 18 % year-on-year this month. That compares with a growth rate of 7.3 % in May, the slowest in almost three years.

According to Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s estimates, Macau’s casino gross gaming revenue should stay somewhere between us$ 2.9 billion and us$ 3 billion.

Analyst Billy Ng wrote in client note dated this week that, according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s sources, casino gross gaming revenue for the first 10 days of June reached around us$ 984 million.

Mr Ng however says the Euro Cup football championship may slow casino revenue growth in the second half of the month, following a similar trend in 2010, when the football World Cup also had a negative impact on revenue growth.
