“The Peruvian market is very important for Ainsworth”

(Peru, exclusive During CIJUEGO, the gaming event held at the Peruvian capital last week, Ainsworth proposed to highlight the fact that they are now in the country with their own presence. Before this, they would reach the market through their distributor. In an interview granted to, Miguel Cuadros, VP of Operations, explained the importance of Peru for the company.


ow do you evaluate Ainsworth participation in this third edition of CIJUEGO? Was it productive for the company?
Yes, It was productive to participate in this event, because it enabled us to show the new A560 platform and have direct contact with the customers, with which we already have conversations, but which we still had not seen, as well as with new customers.

What advantages do manufacturers have when exhibiting in an event with this format?
The advantage is simply to have all the booths with the same size. However, having the greatest number of operators in a concentrated space has its negative aspects.

Previously, Ainsworth reached Peru through its distributor. It currently does it with its own presence. Why was this change produced? Which is the importance of this market for the company?
The change is due to the fact that we want to enter the Latin American market with strenght, as we have been doing in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay and the Caribbean. That’s why  it was decided to continue in this way, which is to be present in Peru directly and without  third parties to have the complete certainty that the customer counts with a first-quality service, both in the pre and the post sale of our products, and with the commitment acquired of satisfying all the customer expectations and demands.

The Peruvian market is very important for us, considering that it is one of the few in Latin America with a clear regulation which helps identifying the customers. We know it is a hard work but we are willing to continue the challenge.

Which is the product of the company with more acceptance in this country?
We are now launching the A560 platform to the Peruvian market, and it is being very well accepted by the operator, especially the collection of games with a variety of formats which adapt to each venue and each type of player.

What comments have you received by the operators you met in CIJUEGO?
All the comments received were excellent. The operator liked a lot the aesthetic of the new platform, on top of the themes of the games and the variety of formats we have to offer, starting from games Play 40/50/100, Double Hit, Triple Shot until connected progressives such as Rio Grande Rapids, Dragon, FireStrike and House of Fortune. 

What is the goal you want to achieve in Peru in the short and medium-term?
Our first goal as manufacturer is that the operator is convinced that Ainsworth reaches Peru with an excellent product in the A560 platform and the range of games for it, which is not only appreciated for its design but also but its capacity to obtain more profitability for operators. And we have the goal to achieve this with the best professionalism possible and with the commitment of satisfying all the requests and expectations and keep on growing together with our customers because their progress is ours.

We are already achieving commercial alliances with the main groups of the country. That’s why the next step is to assure that the results exceed the expectations. On the medium-term, our goals are well devised and expect to reach also medium and small operators from the different provinces.
