“We are amazed by the number of imminent orders we have”

(Mexico, exclusive Gold Club is present in 100 countries through the subsidiaries and a wide network of distributors, agents and post sales service providers. During the latest edition of ELA, Gold Club America displayed the whole catalogue it offers to the Mexican market. In this interview, Ernesto Escobar, General Director of the company, brought more details on its participation at the event.


ow do you evaluate your participation in ELA 2012?
As always, the brand offers its best. We were very pleased to see friends and partners and listen to so many praises. In general, ELA result was favourable although it was not excellent. Many important players from the industry were absent. I consider we must be together and work as a team. We all will benefit with the growth of the market.
How did you live the situation between the Association of Licensees, Operators and Providers of the Entertainment and Betting Industry (AIEJA) and the Association of Games and Draws Licensees (APJSAC)? In which way was the quality of the visitors reflected?
It affected to all the brands with which we participated. We were not the only firm affected, but the whole industry. We are in a very critisized sector and we must be an example of public-spiritedness and team work. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal.

Which is the position of your products in Mexico?
We are very happy to see the results we obtained in latest years. We are shocked by the number of orders we have just around the corner. I think much of this is due to the excellent service and the added value we put in everything we do. All these plus the excellent products have been the key of this success we are having.
For us, it is key to develop customized products for the different countries. That’s why we are working a lot to understand the consumer which is who make our firm successful. A clear example are our game releases as the one of wrestling, which was exclusively performed for the Mexican market and which is having a great demand.

Which are the market projections?
The market is still growing. There is still much more to be done. It brings us the chance to grow considerably, as this year, in which we will surely grow more than 150%. We expect that with the change of government we could have better changes that keep on boosting, in an orderly manner, this industry that generates a myriad of employments and activates the economy in an important way.
