“Sabre is one of the most exciting electronic roulette products in the market”

(Macau, Exclusive Harmen Brenninkmeijer, Senior VP of Strategic Market Development, Inspired Gaming Group, granted an interview to after G2E Asia, where the firm presented its products. “Inspired stand was busy and our electronic roulette and virtual sports products were particularly well received”, he assured.


ow did you see the show this year? Was it in line with your expectations?
It was a good show and an important opportunity to meet people from across Asia. I’m pleased to say the Inspired stand was busy and our electronic roulette and virtual sports products were particularly well received.
Expectations were high for this year’s show. Our virtual sports betting product has received a lot media attention over the last few months. We recently went live with our virtual sports in Mexico, and notably our virtual motor racing – Lucky Racing - became China’s first government approved rapid-draw lottery game last year, which is now in 1,700 National Sports Lottery venues.
We also have high hopes for our electronic roulette product, Sabre. Launched at last year’s G2E, over 1,000 Sabres have been installed in the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia, making Sabre 2011’s fastest selling electronic roulette – a great start for us. It has certainly been our most successful year at G2E. We’re looking forward to following up with everyone from the show and building on our success in Asia.
Inspired's Sabre Multi-Win Roulette has been one of the main attractions at the company's booth. How was Sabre received in the Asian market? What features makes it a good option for casino operators?
Sabre is one of the most exciting electronic roulette products in the market. It has been particularly well received in Asia, where players and operators alike are big fans of its Easy Bet features and faster game cycle, which guarantees players never fail to get their bets on in time and operators benefit from increased incomes.  Sabre’s features also include four-wheel connectivity, to any combination of live, automated or random-number generated wheels. The product is available in 12 languages and is complete with GLI approval.

To keep up with demand in the Asia-Pacific region, we introduced a new member of our international sales team at G2E - Menh Vay Giang joins us as Business Development Manager for Asia. Menh will be working with Silver Heritage Limited (SHL), Inspired’s Asia distributor, to increase sales of Sabre Multi-Win Roulette in the region.

What did Inspired exhibit in the range of the virtual sports games?
We exhibited our award-winning virtual sports betting product in 2D and 3D on a nine screen video wall across our booth. We showed our wide range of sports including horses, greyhound racing, soccer, motor racing and tennis. All of which are available for online, mobile, retail, broadcast, gaming terminals and handheld devices.

Our virtual sports betting product is the undisputed market leader, live in 33 countries and with some of the largest gaming operators from around the world such as William Hill, Caliente and Bet365. 
What other products did Inspired showcase for the regional market?
 Our Latin Bingo product - Bingo Blaze - made its Asian debut after a successful launch in Latin America last year. Bingo Blaze is a sleek slant top cabinet with dual HD screens and multiple Latin Bingo games, but can also be adapted to new markets by adding traditional bingo, slots and SWP games.
We also exhibited our SBG Casino Slots product with a range of premium content on our internationally famous Storm cabinet, which has full SBG functionality for new content to be downloaded on demand from Inspired’s library of international titles. 
How important is the Asian market for Inspired in general, and Macau in particular?
Asia is a key market for Inspired, we already have substantial number of electronic roulette, street gaming machines and virtual sports operations throughout Asia-pacific. There is increasing demand for server based gaming technology in Asia and we see the market as a huge growth opportunity for our products.
In Macau, electronic roulette is growing in popularity year-on-year, especially products like ours which can be connected to multiple live and automated wheels. Competition in Macau is strong and operators are looking for innovative products to get ahead of the opposition, it’s a great time to be in Macau with our electronic roulette product at the moment. 
How do you analyze the evolution of the Asian market? Are there any specific countries the company is more focused on?
Markets such as China, Singapore and the Philippines are developing at an impressive rate and offer huge potential for virtual sports and electronic table gaming, especially due to the limits imposed on live tables. Asia is full of opportunities for companies such as ours and we’re receiving a lot of interest in our products. We’re pleased with our progress so far and feel the future is promising for Inspired in Asia.
