(Peru, exclusive Yogonet.com).- “The event has concentrated the most important operators of the Peruvian market. This is the most important balance,” remarked José Aníbal Aguirre, CIJUEGO General Director, at the closure of the event.

The organizer also highlighted the benefits  -at a space level- that the change of venue has brought, from Casino Atlantic City to Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center.

“As in previous years, the balance is positive, specially due to the institutional strengthening. We think that the historical moment in the Peruvian industry of games of chance has enabled that the  format we propose is acepted both for manufacturers and visitors”, said Aguirre. He assured that the institutional strengthening is consolidated thanks to the Latin American Summit of Games of Chance Associations, the conferences and the corporate events such as Miss Gaming Peru.

Conferences

Server-based games was the title of the conference that opened the second and last day of the International Gaming Congress. Fernando Pagani, from IGT, explained the benefits of the sbX system of the company and also talked about the benefits that offer, in general, the server-based games.

The highlights of the closure of the second day of CIJUEGO was the forum-workshop in charge of the General Direction of Casino Games and Slots of Mincetur, headed by Engineer Manuel San Román Benavente. In the panel, there were also present Yuri Guerra Padilla, Augusto Paulet Díaz and Ricardo del Aguila Cabanillas, who are part of the staff of the regulatory entity.

During the exhibition, San Román was in charge of clearing up the doubts of the operators regarding the implementation and coming into forcé of the online control system. The officer affirmed categorically that, for July 8th, all the venues must have installed  the system chosen. Currently, there are 20 SUCTR authorized models.

“We know that there will be problems that will have to be solved along the way. That’s why, at the beginning, there will be a certain level of tolerance. Deadline extension is not possible”, assured San Román. Besides, he informed that, after the tax adjustment that will derive from the implementation of the online control system, this year expects to collect 300 million. They suppose that, for 2013, the number will rise until reaching 400 million.

Appreciations

The conferences are one of the pillars of CIJUEGO. Baltasar Medina, President of Feceazar (Colombia), was one of the assistants and, when talking about the quality of the talks, he assured: “The first one, Business Coaching seemed very interesting to me, because it included elements that can serve as a guide for the managers of our companies to know how to handle the human talent. I think that the talks of this kind can bring us tools not only for our employees to feel proud and satisfied of belonging to the sector but also to avoid committing injustices with regard to the human resources, as it happens sometimes”.

The General Direction of Casino Games and Slots of Mincetur has supported CIJUEGO from its beginning. After the conclusion of the forum-workshop, Engineer Manuel San Román Benavente expressed: “I feel very satisfied with the organization, we already know its strenght and capacity to organize this type of events. I congratulate them for the meeting they have achieved. Nowadays, Peru is consolidating as an icon in regulation in Latin America and we need a lot this type of meetings for our work to be acknowleged.”

Objetive 2013

CIJUEGO 2012 has just closed its doors, but its General Director is already betting to the future: “For next year, we propose to grow and attract new brands. We keep the same format: equality of square metres for each exhibitor. But the idea is that new companies accompany us”.
