hat products did you present at G2E Asia?
As usual, the main products we exhibited are our gaming chips (Matsui Chips) and layouts. We also introduced new security chips, RFID security system, card and note counter machine, Carmanah signs and new accessories like LED UV light.
How did you see the show?
We were overwhelmed by the number of visitors to our booth especially the first day of the exhibition. So many customers came to see our products and to say hello to us. The response from them were very good. The second day was a little slower but it was very good show overall. I am sure it brings us many opportunities for business.
What is your opinion about the Asian market?
As the cap for table number is set for Macau market, the growth here for table game equipment supplier like us will not be as speedy as before, but instead, there are some other area where new projects are coming. The market in Asia will still grow rapidly for the next several years due to those new projects in Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, India etc.
What is the performance of Matsui’s products there?
We can say that most of major casino operators in Asia use Matsui Chips already. If not all their chips, some of the chip set in their floor or some part of their chips like wheelchecks. We started producing our own chips about 12 years ago and now Matsui Chips is one of the most well known brand in our field. For layout, our market share is rapidly expanding for the last few years. We supply to many casinos such as SJM, Resorts World and their group casinos.
What are your next plans for this region?
We are focusing more to offer better service to our customers here. We are the only major chip manufacturer who has a manufacturing plant in Asia. We are proud of the speed of service we offer but believe we can improve more. For the product side, we are going to have more security feature to our chips to respond to the customers' demand here.
