“Asia continues to be a dynamic area for growth and opportunity”

(Macau, Exclusive Kirsten Clark, Vice President of Global Marketing & Product Management of GPI, talked about the response of the Asian market to their new product line-up presented at G2E Asia, held last week in Macau. “We have heightened our focus within Asia over the last year,” she added.


ow did the Asian market respond to the new product line-up that you have presented?
We were very pleased by the positive response our new products received during G2E Asia, as so many of the products were specifically developed while keeping in mind the unique challenges facing our Asia customers. Our new J2 jeton in particular received a lot of positive attention, as it extends the aesthetic and security features of our traditional jetons to a new shape that is easier for casino staff to handle and control, especially on busy tables. Our new security features, especially our 4C-UV and MicroDot products, were also enthusiastically acknowledged by our customers, as were our B&G Premium Chips. Finally, our integrated money management solution that combines JCM's iV8 high speed bill validator with our RFID Chip Inventory System to speed up the cash-buy in process at the table was a big hit, and we look forward to finalizing its development with the feedback we received during the show.

What is your opinion about the Asian main markets?
Asia continues to be a dynamic area for growth and opportunity, especially given the popularity of traditional table games like baccarat and roulette. As the gaming industry's leading provider of chips, plaques and jetons that are critical elements of the table game experience, GPI is committed to working closely with our customers to identify new and better ways our products and services can meet their ongoing needs and help them solve operational challenges. We have heightened our focus within Asia over the last year by expanding our local sales and service resources, and have increased our R&D focus on developing product solutions specifically for Asian casinos.

What feeling did you close G2E Asia 2012 with?
We were very pleased with the customer feedback we received during last week's show, and we look forward to incorporating our customer's comments into our future products.
