(UK, Exclusive Yogonet.com).- Mr. Costas Farris, General Technical Director of Systems, granted an interview to Yogonet.com in which he commented about the firm’s participation at recent ICE show and about the operators’ response at NEFOS Intralot Cloud. “The key item in Intralot’s presentations and demos was the universal Player Account Management (PAM) platform” he then pointed.

How do you evaluate Intralot’s participation at ICE?
We are really satisfied from our participation at ICE and the feedback we received from the many visitors we had at our booth. It was with pleasure that we saw great interest from the lottery professionals that attended the Exhibition in all our displays while exploring our latest technologies. We also had the opportunity to develop valued business contacts during the show. Moreover, I would like to congratulate the organizers of ICE, as they provided an interactive networking platform with the top executives of the gaming sector.

How did operators respond to NEFOS Intralot Cloud?
As NEFOS is a business-innovating technology solution, this provided the stimulus for operators to want to learn about its ‘gaming as a service’ provisioning model, range of offerings and benefits, which the majority found to be of special interest.  Especially keen was the interest of online and casino operators, who explored NEFOS in more depth and welcomed the unique benefits that NEFOS could provide to their businesses and to the gaming industry.

What importance did cloud based management software and applications have at this 2012 edition of the show? What is the potential of the cloud?
Cloud-based solutions introduce a new operational model for gaming operators  tem pho the concept of provisioning  games and gaming services ‘as a service’. Therefore, as a new business model which provides value to gaming operators, and consequently to players, the importance of cloud solutions at the 2012 edition of ICE was very notable.

In today’s demanding gaming market where innovation, responsiveness and cost-effectiveness are paramount, the potential of the cloud is great since it empowers different types of operators, including casino operators, to respond more efficiently and effectively to changing market needs across all channels (land-based, online and mobile).  Moreover, the different types of cloud computing service models available as well as advanced security mechanisms and standards facilitate gaming operators with shared interests – thereby further increasing the potential of the cloud.

What was the business climate that you could perceive in Earls Court halls?
It was indeed very positive. We had the chance to see first hand our Industry developing in very interesting ways, especially those of convergence of multiple channels and Customer Centricity, which have been our pillars of technological development throughout the years. It feels very rewarding to see the Industry develop in these interesting paths to the benefit of our end consumers.

What was the feedback that you received from the operators that visited your stand?
There was great interest for new forms of gaming experience in mobile and tablet devices. Intralot’s product strategy to introduce mobile lottery and betting games while leveraging the latest technologies in ítem iphone devices (e.g. NFC: Near Field Communication, Location-Aware-Service, etc) was very well received.

The key item in Intralot’s presentations and demos was the universal Player Account Management (PAM) platform, which powers up a universal player experience across game verticals, across business models (cash games, freemium games, social media games, group play games) as well as across player devices and point of sales terminals. All visitors agreed on the substantial value such a state-of-the-art PAM system could bring to their igaming operations – both in terms of new sales revenues and market differentiation.

Last but not least, we were also proud to present Genion, our newest member of family of terminals, a very compact device that has come to meet retailers and players needs offering multi-function solutions.

What are the next shows that you will attend to as exhibitors?
Intralot is present at all the big shows of the gaming sector.  We will be at the SMART-Tech 2012 in New York, La Fleur’s 2012 Lottery Symposium in Washington D.C., the  2012 World Lottery Summit in Montreal, Canada and the EiG European iGaming Conference in Barcelona.  We are looking forward to all these events, so as to display our breakthrough technological solutions.

What do you expect for the next ICE in ExCel?
We are excited that we will attend this great i-gaming event where both on-line and off-line suppliers are going to explore the potential of the convergence with gaming operators.
