Interview to Renato Bičič, Sales director of the firm

Successful debut of Rubicon Gaming at ICE 2012

(UK, Exclusive Renato Bičič, Sales Director of Rubicon Gaming made an evaluation of their participation in the latest ICE event, the business climate and the visitors’ response to the products showcased. “Now our main challenge is to bring alive the mechanical BJ machine that we announced at the ICE exhibition”, he assured.


ow do you evaluate Rubicon’s participation in ICE?
Our impression after the participation at ICE is very positive. For us, it was the first time we were present at the show, as well as our brand new products to the potential customers and distributors. We couldn’t even imagine that so many guests would visit our stand and express so many interest. We did a lot of marketing before the exhibition, such as inviting customers, business partners and friends. We must say that is was worth. Many of them brought business partners and friends with them. This way we managed to establish so many new contacts for the prospective business collaboration.

How did operators respond to the products that you have presented?
Most of the visitors and also competitors gave us a warm welcome to our arrival in the gaming business. We received more approvals than criticism, much more than we have expected. We are glad we have received feedback that will be used to improve our products in order to satisfy the customer’s needs and to be even better. And after all, we shall mention that we got two orders for the Imperium Electronic Blackjack in the very first week after the exhibition.

What was the business climate that you could perceive in Earls Court halls?
We all agree that the climate was positive. We expected more visitors on the first day of the exhibition and we think that the second day was better visited. The ICE exhibition is very welcome for the operators as for those who are offering gaming products. It’s an opportunity to learn about novelties, to meet business partners, suppliers, friends and to evaluate our own products.

What was the feedback that you received from the operators that visited your stand?
Our visitors were enthusiastic especially for our Imperium Electromechanical Blackjack and we are glad for it. As we have already mentioned, we received orders for two BJ video machines very soon after the exhibition. We have already sold out the expo samples of slots. For us, it was the best feedback we could receive.

What are the next shows that you will attend to as exhibitors?
Now our main challenge is to bring alive the mechanical BJ machine that we announced at the ICE exhibition. Our customers are anxious for the new machine that we believe will sure become a bestseller. Of course we will come back to ICE next year. We haven’t planned yet any other exhibitions yet, but we will sure be present in all main markets (Latin America, Asia and Europe) through our distributors or sales representatives.

What do you expect for the next ICE in ExCel?
Next year we will sure present brand new products at ICE that we have already in development, but at this point we couldn’t tell you much more. We expect to be more recognized next year as we will already have our appreciated customers and distributors. We are also going to establish some new business and development collaborations that could be presented next year.
