hat is the evaluation of this 2011?
Overall 2011 has been an exciting year for us – we’ve even undergone a full identity change bringing all core brands, CashCode, Money Controls, Telequip and NRI under one company – Crane Payment Solutions. As one company we have a strong offering and expanded product range which has helped to ensure a good business performance for the year.
How was the general gaming industry in a year in which the economic crisis affected many markets?
Obviously the economic crises has had an effect on everyone, not just those involved in gaming, but it’s important to stay positive and we’re hopeful that on the whole things will improve next year. We’re in a strong position at Crane Payment Solutions, as we have a wide product range and our core brands are already considered industry leaders in various markets and regions.
In your opinion, what was the most outstanding news of the year?
The introduction in Greece of licenses for Video Lottery Terminals (VLT) machines provides a significant new market for Crane Payment Solutions’ products, specifically our bill acceptors, so it is outstanding news for us as well as for the industry as a whole, and of course the Greek market. We’re looking forward to introducing our products to this new market.
In your opinion, what was the most innovative product or service launched this year?
You probably won’t be surprised to know that I’m going to have to say one of Crane’s products. It’s not a completely new product as such but instead new software for the CashCode one - RFID technology for easy cash box tracking. Our unique RFID solution eliminates identification issues and makes reconciliations quick, simple and accurate. The oneTrack solution is designed for accurate asset tracking and increasing productivity and has been well received by the industry.
What are the company's plans for 2012?
We’re looking forward to 2012 as we’re keen to take the positives from 2011 and build on this. One of the first actions for us is to launch a new Crane Payment Solutions website so customers can find all our products in one place. We want people to be able to easily browse and find out more about our enhanced product range, although we’d like to assure them that they will receive the same high levels of quality, innovation and customer service that they’re used to receiving from the core brands.
How will be the 2012 for the gaming industry in general? Will it be similar to 2011? Do you think that we will see a growth in the activity?
We’re positive that 2012 will be a good year for the gaming industry – with new markets opening up like in Greece.
