Holland plans to open online gaming market in 2012

(Holland).- The Dutch government announced its plans to open the online gaming market in the country from 2012. At the beginning of this year, they already announced their intentions to grant licenses to bring betting services, as well as poker, casino and lottery services, all of them online.

he Dutch Association of Gaming Machines, member of Euromat, warned about the fatal consequences that the industry would have to face with the opening of the online gaming market.

So Annette Kok, President of the mentioned association and Euromat, suggested to follow the Belgian model, granting licenses to those offline operators that are already operating in the country.

Fred Teeven, one of the main responsables of the gaming sector in the country, is in talks with different people involved, on top of the members of the parliament, in order to approve the right measures related to the answers received.
