(UK) - IGT announced the appointment of Sabby Gill to the position of regional vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Gill comes to IGT from HP where he had the role of Vice President & General Manager of Partner and Mid-Size Enterprise Business in HP Software within EMEA.

Gill’s appointment, effective 1 August 2011, will see him expanding IGT’s sales coverage in the EMEA region and implementing a global functional business partner strategy designed to leverage the full resources of IGT for growth in international markets.

Gill will oversee the continued rollout of exclusive gaming technologies such as sbX with Floor Manager, Media Manager and Service Window, and the iconic Center Stage Series  featuring three size options including 103-inch, 70-inch and 55-inch plasma screens, progressive play and MEGAfx surround chairs.

During his time at HP, Gill oversaw a team responsible for strategic partners and alliances in the EMEA region. As vice president, he played a leading role in delivering strong growth in HP’s software business in the Mid-Size Enterprise segment across the region.

“Sabby has the ideal background for leading the growth of IGT in the EMEA markets,” said Craig Churchill, IGT’s senior vice president of International Sales. “His proven track record in driving growth through both direct sales and partnership alliances is ideally suited to our strategy for the regions.”

“I feel energized and thrilled to be in this exciting role at a very opportune moment for us all within IGT EMEA,” Gill said. “I have been impressed by the experience and knowledge of the EMEA managers and their respective teams, and their willingness and commitment to building our rightful place as the market leader in every market and legalized jurisdiction in which we operate is energizing.”

He added, “Our new expanded sales model will deepen the level of service that we can provide to customers across the EMEA region, and increase further the demand for market-leading products such as sbX and Center Stage.”
