It will establish a “formal basis for cooperation and information sharing”

Alderney signs bilateral agreement with Denmark

(UK).- The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has entered into a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Danish Gambling Authority that will establish a “formal basis for cooperation and information sharing between these authorities”, according to a statement from the AGCC.

T

he agreement will come into effect upon the formal implementation of the Danish Gaming Act after the two parties agreed terms on the agreement.

The news follows Alderney’s announcement in January that it had entered into a similar deal agreement with the Nevada Gaming Board, which primarily focused on areas of investigations, compliance and the development of technical standards.

The cooperation agreement is the latest in a growing trend of information sharing concords, also known as Memorandums of Understanding, between European Member States and their neighbouring open markets (France’s ARJEL and Italy’s AAMS) and also further afield, as demonstrated by the AGCC’s agreement with the Nevada Gaming Board.
