With more exhibitors than last year and the presence of local operators

SAGSE Panama lived yesterday its first exhibition day

(Panama, exclusive With the presence of local and regional operators, around 35 international companies offering their products and Panama City as meeting point, SAGSE Gaming Panama opened yesterday its doors to the Central America and Caribbean gaming sector, seeking to consolidate its convening power and its character of regional exhibition.


he exhibition organized by Monografie offered a tidy and sober business environment, with an academic space that counted with the assistance of around 40 people and a business trade show according to the regional market. SAGSE Gaming Panama is a small event compared to its “elder sister” from Buenos Aires, with a reduced and mainly local public, but which managed to gather the main Panamanian operators and counted with the support of more companies than last year, almost doubling the number of exhibitors.

In the morning, the announced talks about casino marketing and money laundering attracted executives and businessmen from the Panamanian sector, who, from 8,30 a.m. and until midday participated on the academic event that has  speakers such as doctor Felipe Ignacio Corsunsky (Regional Director of Games and Operation of the Regional Lottery and Casino Institute of Argentina) and professor David Hernández (Director of the Casino Management Division of Las Vegas Comunity College, Nevada).

Then, the Panamanian Charity Lottery held one of its traditional draws, in this case, and in an exceptional way, in a side room of the Atlapa Convention Center, to accompany the development of SAGSE 2011. And at 15 p.m., it took place the ribbon cut, that counted with the participation of Giorgio Gennari Litta (head of Monografie and organizar of SAGSE Panama) together with Alan Burak (commercial manager of the event), José Pablo Ramos (General Director of the Panama Lottery of Charity) and Giselle Brea (head of the Gambling Control Committee).

The public entered some minutes later to the exhibition hall, in which around 35 companies exhibited their main novelties for the region. At the entrance of the exhibition, Aristocrat stand received visitors in a wide space in which the company presented the new Pele game, completely developed in Spanish and Portuguese on GEN 7 Platform, on the Viridian Widescreen cabinet.

“With its wide range of new games, Aristocrat advances with its strategy to bring more and better developments, offering technology and regional themes. Our priority is to continue supporting bingo halls and casinos, contributing to increase the performance of its Aristocrat games”, pointed Alvaro Nores, VP of the company for Latin America, within the event.

Bally also bet for a remarkable presentation before the local public, with a big stand at the entrance of the event, iDeck was showcased, available in all the new cabinets in the Pro series of Bally, together with attractive Pro Series V22/22 cabinet Hammerhead.

Games Golden Pharaoh and Money Vault are also outstanding, with the new game mechanism called Directional Wilds, and two games that attracted a lot of attention were Cash Wizard and Playboy Hot Zone, together with Bally management systems.

Aruze occupied a great part of the hall with its exclusive Lounge for guests, EGT and Belatra presented its new developments in big booths that occupied part of the center of the scene at the expo, and companies such as Legendary Gaming and Coecsa, among many others, chose important exhibition spaces to attract the restless look of the visitors.

Names like Future Logic, Dek International, Hanco Technologies, Spin Inc., EZ Mix, Atronic, Arrow International, Gemaco, ASAP, Molina International, MEI and GLI, were some of the prestigious firms that, among others, supported SAGSE in this new opportunity.

With regards to the number of visitors, the first day was similar to previous years, with a slower beginning in pubis, and, closer to the ending, a great number of executives visited Atlapa.

“We have found a profitable and successful equation both for exhibitors and visitors at SAGSE Panama 2011. This year we could offer different options and alternatives to our exhibitors, according to their needs and expectations”, pointed Alan Burak, at the end of the first day. Today, the event will open its doors at 15 p.m., and around 20 it will conclude its seventh edition in Panama, seeking to reaffirm its regional position with a complete schedule of events for Latin America.
