SAGSE Panama starts its 2011 edition today

(Panama).- SAGSE Gaming Panama celebrates its 7th anniversary and will ratify its importance for the gaming industry when it open its doors at Atlapa Convention Center today, in Panama City, starting its 2011 edition. For two days, both visitors and exhibitors will enjoy a series of social and academic activities. “Above all, we want to remark that we are very happy with the unconditional response of the sector”, remarked its organizers.


s part of the social agenda, Codere organized yesterday a welcome cocktail in Casino Crown of Hotel Sheraton, located in San Francisco neighborhood. Today, at the end of the first day of the event, Casino Princess of Hotel Fourpoints By Sheraton will offer another cocktail from 20,30 until 23,30 p.m. The event will be exclusively addressed to SAGSE exhibitors and visitors, which will be able to enter just exhibiting their accreditation or invitation.

As part of the academic schedule, SAGSE Gaming Panama will count this year with a top-quality seminar. The first part of the professional seminar, called “Introduction to the prevention of money laundering”, will be developed today in the morning, and will be in charge of Dr. Felipe Ignacio Corsunsky, Regional Director of Games and Operation of the Regional Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (Argentina). Then, from 11 a.m. to 13 p.m., Professor David Hernández, Director of the Casino Management Division of Comunity College, CCSN, Las Vegas (US), will be in charge of the talk “Marketing for casinos”.

“SAGSE just evolves together with the needs of the sector. We noted a training need in Central America and the Caribbean. Operators trust SAGSE and that’s why we bring those courses. Both themes are highly interesting and were customized to the operators’ needs”, remarked Giorgio Gennari Litta, President of Monografie, organizer of the event.

At the end of the second talk, the Panamanian Lottery of Charity will organize its intermediate draw live from Atlapa. This draw is broadcast in all TV channels and radios in the country. The institution will also organize a cocktail for all participants and exhibitors.

Then, at 3 p.m., the official inauguration will take place, as well as the ribbon cut with the presence of national and international authorities. The show will remain open today and tomorrow, from 15 p.m. to 20 p.m.

Alan Burak, Commercial Manager of SAGSE Gaming Panama, remarked the support brought by the Nacional Government, the Gambling Control Committee and ASAJA: “The Gambling Control Committee support us through direct benefits towards all SAGSE exhibitors. The government supports SAGSE at such extent that it is considered one of the most interesting events for Panama economy. Finally, ASAJA always supports us sending invitations”. And added: “SAGSE is synonim of unity in the gaming sector. No matter where it is”.

SAGSE Gaming Panama will also count with booths from top international companies such as Aristocrat Technologies, Bally Technologies, Atronic, Belatra Games, Industrias Cattan, Arrow International, Intercard, Gemaco, ASAP, Molina International, Revista Casino Perú, Yogonet, Princess Casino Panamá, Junta de Control de Juego, Autoridad de Turismo Panamá, Lotería de Beneficencia Panamá, Casinfo, SoloAzar, MEI, Casino International, SAGSE, GLI, DingNews, among others.
